Practice

Practice

Practice is the daily work of showing up: in body, in spirit, and in the work itself. It is how I run, how I play, and how I teach.

Body

Running

I am a slow runner. I train by heart rate rather than pace, using the Maffetone method: building an aerobic base slowly and patiently, and letting fitness emerge over time rather than forcing it.

Tennis

On the court, tennis keeps me quick, playful, and humble, and reminds me that every rally is a conversation.

Spirit

Music

I am a pianist and composer. Jazz is a living lesson in complexity: shared structure, close listening, and something new emerging in the moment.

Body, mind, and spirit are not separate practices. They are one connected system.
